Fennec foxes are foxes that live in the desert. They are the smallest fox in the world and usually live in pairs and sometimes with babies.
They are yellowish orange, their name means desert fox. Fennec foxes are little foxes with big ears, they are orange and yellow. They live in North Africa, throughout the Sahara Desert and east to Sinai and Arabia. They prefer sandy deserts and regions with desert grasses or scrub vegetation. Fennec foxes are territorial, and mark their territory with urine and feces. The fennec fox is a nocturnal species.
They are more active at night so they can avoid the harsh heat from the desert sun during the day. Throughout the day they rest in their burrow. Their feet are well adapted for digging a burrow. The fennec fox eats mice and other prey.
The fennec fox likes to come out at night to hunt. The fennec fox can be dangerous, but since it is so shy it is not very dangerous though.
I like them because they are so cute and tiny and they are very fascinating.
